#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has an air supply device i.e. hose, whose end is arranged at a hollow wheel carrier (14) that comprises an air supply aperture (16) and a cone-shaped air exhausting aperture (18). The air supply and exhausting apertures are aligned to a brake component (12) to be cooled. The air exhausting apertures are distributedly arranged in a circumferential direction and/or a radial direction. The air supply device is attached at the air supply aperture, where the wheel carrier is supplied with cool air through the air supply device. A valve is arranged in the air supply device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for cooling a rotatable component e.g. brake disk and friction surface, of a brake e.g. disk brake and drum brake (all claimed), rotating with a wheel of a motor car. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The utilization of the wheel carrier enables reduction of installation space of the device. The device utilizes reduced number of components, so that the device has a simple structure.
