The method involves inserting an attachment element (12) i.e. hammer head screw, into a receiving space (14) of a C- or U-shaped anchor rail (10), where a head (22) engages a longitudinal leg (18) in the receiving space. A curable material i.e. viscous curable material, is introduced into a receiving opening (16) and/or the receiving space, where the material is exclusively introduced in a region (28) of the attachment element and completely fills space between a shaft (20) of the attachment element and the longitudinal leg in the region of the attachment element. The material is cured. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an attachment unit comprising an attachment element (2) an anchor module for performing a method for play-free mounting of an attachment element in an anchor rail.
