PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing Al-Zn alloy ingots are provided to easily remove dross and to improve the efficiency of an alloy manufacturing process because Zn ingots are gradually melted in the small amount of an Al molten bath to reduce the generation of oxides. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing Al-Zn alloy ingots is as follows. A melting furnace(100) is divided into a main melting space(120) and a sub-melting space(140) by a barrier(300). Al ingots(400) are inserted and melted in the main melting space. Zn ingots(500) are inserted into the sub-melting space. While the Al ingots are melted, to increase the quantity of Al molten bath(420) drawn out from the main melting space to the sub-melting space, the barrier gradually moves upward to melt the Zn ingots with the Al molten bath. |
