<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device which detects overexcitation from an AC motor properly and controls the AC motor so that the detected overexcitation is curbed. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a power conversion device that comprises: a power conversion unit which converts a DC power into an intended AC power; a current detection unit which detects a current supplied from the power conversion unit to an AC motor; a current conversion unit which converts current information detected by the current detection unit into an excitation current, a torque current, and a primary current; an overexcitation determination unit which, making a comparison between the excitation current and the torque current converted into by the current conversion unit, delivers overexcitation determination information when the excitation current is larger than the torque current; a control unit which, on the basis of the overexcitation determination information delivered from the overexcitation determination unit and predetermined setting information, delivers a control signal to the power conversion unit to control the current supplied from the power conversion unit to the AC motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
