<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a service life of a discharge lamp by inhibiting the generation of lighting failure of the discharge lamp due to gas leakage from a light-emitting tube. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of an internal lead 36a side of a metal foil 34a is provided with a contact part P in contact with the internal lead 36a and non-contact parts Q separated from the internal lead 36a.
