<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discomfort degree estimation apparatus that can estimate a degree of discomfort felt by a viewer without using a global motion. <P>SOLUTION: A discomfort degree estimation apparatus 1 includes: a region-based motion vector detection section 10 to detect a motion vector for a region basis in a plurality of regions obtained by dividing a screen; a first filter section 20 to obtain a corrected motion vector; a motion region determination section 30 to determine whether or not each region has a motion; a difference vector calculation section 60 to calculate a difference vector between a corrected motion vector of the region determined as having the motion and an average corrected motion vector; a circumferential/radial direction motion vector calculation section 70 to calculate a circumferential direction motion vector and a radial direction motion vector; a second filter section 80 to obtain a corrected circumferential direction motion vector; a total oscillation energy calculation section 90 to calculate a total oscillation energy; a total oscillation energy correction section 100 to correct the total oscillation energy; and a logarithmic transformation section 110 to calculate a degree of discomfort from a corrected oscillation energy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
