<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst material having oxygen storage ability and a method of manufacturing the catalyst material. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a catalyst material having bar-shaped or needle-shaped configurations containing zirconium oxide and praseodymium oxide or its aggregate particle configurations and a method of manufacturing the catalyst material.
