<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and household electronic product capable of facilitating removal and prevention of communication errors. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a signal from an infrared transmission/reception section 210, a display control section 200b which has recognized a possible cause of a communication error displays the cause of the communication error and its remedy on a liquid crystal color panel in real time.
