<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus capable of irradiating light to a display panel as an irradiated object to have uniform brightness in a surface direction of the display panel, and capable of enhancing energy efficiency, as well as a display device equipped with the lighting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus is provided with a printed circuit board 12, a plurality of light-emitting parts 111 each having a base 111b, an LED chip 111a and a lens 112, and reflecting members 113 surrounding the light-emitting parts 111, respectively, on a backlight unit 1.
