The mixing valve has three control plates, one above the other, and a control component, enclosed in a housing. The middle plate slides w.r.t. the fixed top and bottom ones. The middle and bottom plates have ports for the cold and hot water, and the top one has deflector chambers for the ports in the other two. A component (25), reducing the water flow noise, is mounted on the outside of the middle, movable control plate (21).
