PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory system of usability for both a service site and user. SOLUTION: This authentication system is provided with an acceptance condition storage part for storing acceptance condition for a service server; an authentication information storage part for storing authentication information for authenticating the user, a user registration information storage part for storing terminal identification information of an authentication terminal, while being correlated with user identification information; an authentication request receiving part for receiving an authentication request from the service server; an authentication terminal specifying part for specifying the terminal identification information from the user identification information contained in the authentication request; a certificate request receiving part for receiving a certificate request from the authentication terminal, an authentication deciding part for collating the authentication information acquired from the authentication terminal with the authentication information stored in the authentication information storage part, and for deciding whether a collation result satisfies the acceptance condition; and an authentication result notifying part for transmitting to the service server a result of a purport that the authentication is successful as to a satisfied portion, when the collation result is judged to satisfy one part of the acceptance condition.
