A control method for preventing steam reverse flow in a washing machine is provided to prevent steam from being reversely flowed in a drying step by supplying water to a steam reverse-flow preventing device although water is out of the steam reverse-flow preventing device in a dewatering step before the drying step. A control method for preventing steam reverse flow in a washing machine comprises the steps for detecting the amount of the laundry in a drying step(S1,S2); and operating a drying unit, rotating a drum, and supplying water to a steam reverse-flow preventing device installed at a water supply path(S3,S4,S5). When the drum is rotated in one way initially, a water supply valve installed on the water supply path is opened for a set time period. |
