<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a zinc oxide single crystal, whereby the amount of oxygen used for growing the zinc oxide single crystal by a hydrothermal synthesis method can be readily controlled, and the zinc oxide single crystal that can be produced by the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the zinc oxide single crystal comprises growing the zinc oxide single crystal by the hydrothermal synthesis method in a sealed container 24 filled with an aqueous solution containing at least one oxygen feeder selected from the group consisting of perchloric acid and salts thereof and at least one mineralizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
