<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for processing an image capable of controlling a power mode in an appropriate timing and of making convenience for a customer compatible with thrifty power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for processing the image includes a sub control unit for detecting a shift command from a clock circuit section, and a mode switching unit for switching between a first power saving mode for stopping supply of the power source to a main control section and a second power saving mode for stopping supply of the power source to the main control section and a network control section. The main control section transmits shift information to the sub control unit when shifting to the first power saving mode and the clock circuit section transmits the shift command to the sub control unit when the present time is determined to be the time predetermined by the time information on the basis of the comparison and the sub control unit switches to the mode switching unit between the shifting from the first power saving mode to a usual mode and the shifting from the first power saving mode to the second power saving mode in accordance with the shift information when the shift command is detected during the first power saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
