<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device, a buffer management system, and a video display system capable of making a seemingly seamless switch in a waiting time which occurs when a user specifies an arbitrary position in streaming reproduction and plays back the streaming . <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a video display device comprising: a stream buffer 12 which receives data; a buffer controller 18 which controls the stream buffer 12; and a video reproduction device 14 which reproduces data temporarily stored in the stream buffer 12. When reproduction from an arbitrary position is specified while the video reproduction device 14 is reproducing data, the buffer controller 18 temporarily stores data of the specified position in the buffer 12 while letting data remaining in the stream buffer 12 be reproduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
