PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing device by which coins are surely carried and selected and a reliability is improved. SOLUTION: A selecting part for selecting coins in accordance with money denominations and assigning them to safes by money denomination is disposed in the middle of a carrier path. The selecting part is provided with plural open gates arranged in the carrier path. Each open gate 9 is provided with an opening part 50a which is arranged to be freely movable between a clogging position for clogging the save by money denomination and constituting part of a carrier surface and an open position for opening the safe, projecting into the carrier path and guiding the coins passing through the carrier path to the safe and also which prevents interference with the carrier belt by permitting it to escape at the open position and with auxiliary gate 52 which is arranged to be freely movable between a fixed position for clogging the opening part of the selecting gate 50 positioned at the clogging position and a storing position for opening the safe by money kind.
