PURPOSE: Provided are a sealing method and a sealing device of battery pouch capable of preventing the damage of an electrode assembly by heat and thus prevent the degradation of battery capability during heat sealing. CONSTITUTION: The sealing method of battery pouch(11) comprising a space(12) for holding an electrode assembly(16), and a cover(14) for covering the space, for heat sealing the cover to adhesion side(15) formed around the space, is characterized by allowing sealing heating parts(19a,19b,19c) to come into close contact with the adhesion side(15), provided that a lower bottom of the space is covered with brackets(31,32), so as to prevent the transmission of heat generated from the sealing heating part to the electrode assembly. The sealing device comprises a pair of first sealing heating parts, and a pair of second sealing heating parts; a first bracket for longitudinally covering the lower part of the space; and a second bracket for transversely covering the lower part of the space.
