<p>PURPOSE: Strand cooling control device and method are provided to make the transversal solidifying uniform depending on an angle of spraying and the amount of cooling water to reduce temperature difference and enhance the surface and inner quality of a strand through solidifying control. CONSTITUTION: A strand cooling control device comprises a spraying unit, a spraying angle adjusting unit(130), and a cooling control unit(170). The spraying unit comprises a plurality of nozzles, which respectively spray cooling water to the central part and edge of a strand(80) emitting from a mold. Spraying angle of each nozzle is controlled. The spraying angle adjusting unit controls the spraying angle of a nozzle respectively sprayed to the central part and edge of the strand.</p> |
