WHITE LED LAMP, BACKLIGHT, AND ILLUMINATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white LED lamp configured to reduce the amount of UV light in white light emitted and the quantity of heat released, a backlight using the white LED lamp, and an illumination apparatus using the white LED lamp.

SOLUTION: A white LED lamp 1 includes: a conductive part 12; a light-emitting diode chip 20 which is mounted on the conductive part 12, and emits a primary light with a peak wavelength of 360 nm or more but 420 nm or less; a transparent resin layer 30 which seals the light-emitting diode chip 20, and is composed of a first transparent cured resin; and a phosphor layer 40 having phosphor powder 42 dispersed in a second transparent cured resin. The phosphor powder 42 receives the primary light and emits a secondary light having a longer wavelength than the primary light. A mean particle size of the phosphor powder is 10 μm or more. Energy of the primary light contained in emitted light is 0.4 mW/1 m or less.
