<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storage device of an automatic dispenser capable of reinforcing the mechanical strength of an engagement shaft only with a material of a specified dimension while reducing the thickness of a passage width regulating plate. <P>SOLUTION: The commodity storage device of an automatic dispenser has a passage width regulating plate 7A disposed facing to a commodity conveyance mechanism. A base plate 70 has engagement shafts 71, 71 protruding from the right and left edges of the base plate 70. The engagement shafts 71, 71 are inserted through set grooves 51a and 51b of a rack side plate 51 so that the passage width regulating plate 7A moves forward and backward between a forward position where the passage width regulating plate 7A proceeds into a commodity passage and a backward position where the passage width regulating plate 7A retracts from the commodity passage. The passage width regulating plate 7A has a protruding portion 72 which is formed being bent to protrude toward the commodity passage at a position generally opposing to an upper pedal of the commodity conveyance mechanism. The passage width regulating plate 7A has engagement shafts 73 protruding sideward from the passage width regulating plate 7A being overlapped with a bent portion 731 where the plane base plate 70 and the protruding portion 72 comes into contact with each other.
