PURPOSE: A user authentication method and system using a user instant password is provided to prevent password theft by registers UIP(User Instant Password) on the spot. CONSTITUTION: Identifying information about an UIP transmitting device transmitting member information and a password created by a member is registered. The identifying information of the member information, an UIP, and the UIP transmitting device are transmitted. The UIP transmitting device and the member information are compared to the identifying information of the UIP transmitting device and the registered member information. The UIP, which is transmitted when the member information and the identifying information of the UIP transmitting device are matched, is registered. The member information and a password are inputted for user authentication from the member. The member information and the password received from the member are compared to the registered member information and the UIP.
