FIELD: construction industry; hydraulic engineering structures. ^ SUBSTANCE: floating gate comprises two metal pontoons installed at obtuse angle between them; some ends of pontoons rest on concrete abutments that restrict navigation span, and their opposite ends are mated with each other thus forming a horizontal arch. Mated ends of pontoons are connected with bolts through flanges available on them. To pontoon boards there attached are T-beams with gates inserted between them, which are moved up or down by means of jacks when controlling river water levels. Pontoons are taken away from abutments during winter time and in order to let ships go through navigation span during flood, and after flood is over, pontoons are taken back to abutments by means of river towboats. ^ EFFECT: reducing metal consumption of floating gate. ^ 2 dwg |
