摘要 PURPOSE: An optical power monitoring module is provided to utilize a thin film type flexible PCB(printed circuit board) which is freely bendable and extremely thin to integrate a photodiode array on a planar optical waveguide element. CONSTITUTION: An optical power monitoring module comprises a planar optical waveguide element(120), an optical signal control member(130), a thin film flexible PCB(140), and a photodiode array(150). The planar optical waveguide element comprises a substrate, an optical circuit(126) including a core layer(126b), and a cover glass(122). The optical signal control member transmits optical signals from the core layer or reflects the same while being joined perpendicularly to one side of the planar optical waveguide element. The thin film type flexible PCB forms an opening(142) in which the optical signals pass through while being joined perpendicularly to a side opposite to the side of the optical signal control member where the planar optical waveguide element is joined. The photodiode array is fixed to the opening of the thin film type flexible PCB by a flip chip bonding method or an eutectic bonding method and receives the optical signals through the opening.
