Steam turbine installation and method for operating the steam turbine installation

The installation has a steam turbine (5) having an overload bypass line (14) with which main steam is fed to a feed water pre-heating unit (11) between steam turbine input and extraction point (9) during overload operation of steam turbine. An auxiliary extraction line (17) is connected to overload bypass line in such a way that process steam is able to extract from the steam turbine during partial load operation of steam turbine so as to add extracted process stream to feed water pre-heating unit for additional pre-heating of feed water. An independent claim is included for method for operating steam turbine installation.
