<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device and method, capable of obtaining a favorably conditioned recording medium on which a suitable-quality pattern is recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device 1 has a conveying mechanism 30, a pressing mechanism 50 and a recording part 60. The pressing mechanism 50 includes a pressing roller 52 which contacts the recording medium and presses the medium against an adhesive part 40 formed on the conveying surface 38 of the conveying mechanism 30, and a press adjustment part 54 which supports the pressing roller 52 and adjusts a pressing force. The press adjustment part 54 adjusts the pressing force imparted to the recording medium to a first condition which makes a downward force in a vertical direction act on the pressing roller 52 to heighten more than the pressing force by the dead weight of the pressing roller 52, and to a second condition which makes an upward force in the vertical direction act on the roller 52 to lower less than the pressing force by the dead weight of the roller 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
