PURPOSE: An intelligent access duplexed system on a network and a method thereof are provided to minimize automatic failure recovery time through network transmission apparatus which performs an automatic duplex switching function of a network path in case a failure in a specific network link occurs. CONSTITUTION: An edge switch includes a pair of a master switch(121) and a backup switch(122). Network transmission apparatus(200) matches the pair of a master switch and a backup switch with one client terminal. When a failure in a first network link connected to the master switch occurs, the network transmission apparatus transmits data of the client terminal to a second network link connected to the backup switch. The network transmission apparatus performs a duplex operation of the client terminal.
