PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to use a LED bar and to reduce the size of a light guide plate and the number of LEDs. CONSTITUTION: A cover bottom(100) includes an accommodating space. A light guide body(300) having bar shape is arranged in the cover bottom. An LED light source(410) is arranged in one side of the light guide in longitudinal direction. A fixing hook(800) fixes the light guide body to the cover bottom by pressing. A diffusing plate(500) is arranged in the upper side of the light guide.
