<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an input/output module communication control device that allows an operator to obtain extension distance information of a communication bus to a base station calculated from an actually measured value of communication response time and to check if there is a setting mistake or not about extension distance setting information. <P>SOLUTION: In a distribution-type control system, an engineering station and a field control station (FCS) is connected via a control bus, and in the FCS, redundant CPUs are connected with a plurality of base stations formed with a plurality of input/output modules via the communication bus. A CPU is provided with: a response time measuring unit for measuring a response time of communication with the input/output modules forming a base station; a response time measurement value storage unit for storing the response time measurement value from the response time measuring unit; and an equalization unit for setting whether the own device works as a control side or a standby side, and for equalizing data of each other.
