SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronization signal processing device that implements a small area and low power consumption circuit and a stable phase comparison independent of temperature dependence.

SOLUTION: The synchronization signal processing device includes: a time-to-digital converter (TDC) for synchronizing a horizontal synchronization signal with a synchronization clock and outputting the horizontal synchronization signal as digital data at the timing of the synchronization clock; a reference clock generation section for counting the synchronization clock and generating a reference clock; a digital phase comparator for performing a phase comparison of the digital data from the TDC with the reference clock to create phase difference information; and a synchronization clock generation device for generating the synchronization clock whose frequency is controlled such that the digital data on the horizontal synchronization signal from the TDC is in phase with the reference clock in accordance with the phase difference information from the digital phase comparator.
