摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery in which discharge rate characteristics can be enhanced by using SiO<SB POS="POST">x</SB>as a negative electrode active material without requiring a large amount of metal, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium ion secondary battery using the negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In the negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, particulate conductors containing a metallic element are arranged more on the surface of a negative electrode active material layer. A method for manufacturing the negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises pyrolyzing an acidic resin included in the negative electrode mixture layer to form the particulate conductors containing a metallic element from a metal layer laminated on a negative electrode mixture layer.
