<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stable aqueous dispersion of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT). <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing an aqueous dispersion containing (A) one or more thickeners and (B) BIT solid particles includes: a process (a) of forming an aqueous mixture (I) which contains water, a dissolved salt of BIT and optionally one or more thickeners and has pH of ≥8.5; and a process (b) of mixing an acid, the aqueous mixture (I) and optionally a component containing one or more thickeners together in optional order to form the aqueous dispersion having pH of 1.5-7.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
