PURPOSE: A method for collecting access point information for position measurement, a device therefor, a device for measuring a position by using an access point, and a method thereof are provided to build a database with only actually effective access points. CONSTITUTION: An access point information collecting device(200) includes an access point information collecting unit(210), a first storage unit(230), an access point information selecting unit(250), and a second storage unit(270). The access point information collecting unit receives position coordinates of a lattice point from a user through an input unit. If a measurement command is received by the user through the input unit, identification information such an MAC address of the access point and the signal strength of the access point are collected. A first storage unit matches access point information by lattice points with the position coordinates of the lattice point. If an access point information selecting unit collects the access point information from all lattice points through the access point information collecting unit, effective access point information is selected form the access point information by lattice points stored in the first storage unit to be stored in the second storage unit.
