PURPOSE: A separation preventing device for an elevator platform door is provided to prevent the separation of a platform door from a rail groove of a guide rail due to the pressure and impact applied to the platform door while serving as a door shoe. CONSTITUTION: A separation preventing device for an elevator platform door comprises a guide rail(10), a side insertion member(20), and a sliding member(30). An insertion groove is formed in one side(12) of the guide rail. The side insertion member is protruded to the inside of a rail groove(14) through the insertion groove. The sliding member comprises a connection piece(31) and a door shoe(32).
