SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit that is preferable as a circuit (power supply control circuit) functioning as a switch capable of selectively supplying and shutting off a supply voltage to a signal processing circuit.

SOLUTION: The circuit has a transistor for controlling an electrical connection between first wiring for supplying a supply potential to the signal processing circuit and second wiring for supplying the supply potential, and a transistor for determining whether or not to ground the first wiring for supplying the supply potential to the signal processing circuit, and at least one of the two transistors is a transistor whose channel is formed in an oxide semiconductor layer. This can reduce a power consumption due to a cutoff current of at least one of the two transistors.
