<p>To provide a technology with which it is possible to search for correspondence points among a plurality of images rapidly and with high precision, and a technology with which it is possible to calculate the distance from an image capture device to a subject rapidly and with high precision, a correspondence point search device comprises an information acquisition unit, a search unit, and a search range determination unit. The information acquisition unit acquires: a first image which is acquired by a subject being image captured by a first image capture device which is in a focus state wherein a movable unit which includes at least either of an optical assembly and an image capture unit moves and focuses on the subject; a second image which is acquired by the subject being image captured by a second image capture device from a viewpoint which differs from the viewpoint of the first image capture device; and location information of the moving unit when the first image capture device is in the focus state. The search unit searches one image and another image of the first and second images for correspondence points in the other image which correspond to baseline points in the one image. Based on the location information, the search range determination unit determines a search range in the other image wherein the correspondence points are searched by the search unit.</p> |
