PURPOSE: A synthesizing method of a cyclic olefin-based monomer is provided to have a synthesizing process and to provide a cyclic olefin-based monomer with high yield. CONSTITUTION: A synthesizing method of a cyclic olefin-based monomer comprises: a reaction step putting compounds into a polar solvent before reaction compounds and conducting a reaction; a step of evaporation step evaporating a polar solvent from the resultant; and a step of precipitating and filtering the resultant by putting the resultant into a non-polar solvent. The polar solvent is one or more selected from 1,2-dichlorobenzene, toluene, NMP, xylene and acetone. The non-polar solvent is one or more selected from heptane, n-hexane, and cyclohexane.
