<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor, which is capable of reducing oil discharge, and also which is capable of reducing noise. <P>SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor includes an electric motor unit 2 and compression mechanism unit 3 in a hermetic container 1. In the hermetic compressor, the compression mechanism unit 3 has a valve cover 11, bearing, cylinder 6, and piston 8. A plurality of recesses 12 with different sizes to each other are formed on the surface of the valve cover 11. By this arrangement, the noise reduction is achieved, while promoting the separation of the refrigerant gas and oil to reduce the amount of oil discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
