PLEATED FILTER, BALLAST WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS USING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PLEATED FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleated filter which prevents deterioration and breakage caused by usage, and capable of a stable, long-time use; a method for manufacturing the same; and a ballast water treatment apparatus using the same.

SOLUTION: A pleated filter is formed by periodically folding a planar base material, in which a mountain part and a valley part are constituted repeatedly and continuously. A breakage prevention means is given at the valley part of the folded part. In the breakage prevention means, the relationship between the bending radius R (mm) of a resin reinforcing means provided at the valley part or the valley part and the thickness of the base material t (mm) meets 2t≤R≤10t.
