REFLECTOR ARRAY OPTICAL DEVICE AND DISPLAY UNIT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector array optical device which allows a real image of an observation target on one main surface side to be formed in a space on another main surface side so that the brightness of the aerial image is enhanced.

SOLUTION: A reflector array optical device includes two dihedral corner reflector array optical elements each having a plurality of cylindrical bodies which are integrally formed with a substrate of a transparent material and project from the surface of the substrate. Each of the cylindrical bodies includes at least two orthogonal sides which are normal to the substrate and orthogonal to each other. The two dihedral corner reflector array optical elements are combined at the respective top faces of the cylindrical bodies such that the two orthogonal sides are in the same plane, respectively.
