<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fullerene compound having high solubility which may be utilized as a material of a high performance photoelectric conversion element. <P>SOLUTION: The fullerene compound is represented by the following general formula(n1). (In the formula(n1), FLN represents fullerene, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represent, respectively and independently, a hydrocarbon group which may have or not have a hetero atom. The R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>may form a ring.
