FUNCTIONAL UNIT WITH BUTTON FUNCTIONS

PURPOSE: A functional unit with a button function is provided to improve flexibility for allowing the operation of a button in a thin membrane area by arranging control and display elements on the rear of a transparent surface layer. CONSTITUTION: A functional unit with a button function comprises a plastic film(3) and one or more control elements(7). The plastic film has hard plastic support portions(5) which are directly injected on the rear of a first surface; and a transparent surface layer(1) composed of a casting compound hardened on a second surface. Each control element has a switch shape with a tactile feedback. The control elements are arranged on the concave portions inside the plastic support portion. Flexible membrane areas for allowing a button stroke are arranged around the control elements.
