PURPOSE: A method and a device using altitude information in a navigation system for determining entry and exit of a moving body to a facility are provided to improve determination performance because entry and exit into/from an underground or a ground parking lot are determined by using the altitude information of a moving body. CONSTITUTION: A method using altitude information in a navigation system for determining entry and exit of a moving body to a facility comprises next steps. The current location information of the moving body is mapped on numerical map data with respect to a geometric line form of road(S510). A facility mostly adjacent to a road link corresponding to the mapped numerical map data is searched(S520). The entry of the moving body is determined by using the numerical map data with respect to the geometric line form of an internal road of the searched facility and a relative altitude value of the moving body.
