PURPOSE: A wireless multimedia interface apparatus and method are provided to covert multimedia data which is transmitted from a selected source device into a wireless signal so that the converted signal is transmitted to a sync device. CONSTITUTION: A selector(22) is connected to one or more source devices in wire. The selector receives the multimedia data which is transmitted from the selected source device by selecting one source device from the one or more source devices. A controller(23) monitors connection of the one or more source devices. The controller transmits a source device selection instruction to the selector according to monitoring results. A wireless transmitter(24) converts the multimedia data which is transmitted through the selector into the wireless signal under the control of the controller.
