<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an interior material for a vehicle that can control the positional deviation of a decorative material to a base material while suppressing the exposure of the end of the decorative material. <P>SOLUTION: In a press molding process, the air between the first molding surface 42A and the decorative material 70 is sucked from a suction hole 52 of a decorative material set part 64 by driving a suction means (not shown) to bring the decorative material 70 into tight contact with the first molding surface 42A. In the state, the lower mold 42 is raised by an elevator (not shown), and the upper mold 44 is lowered to insert protrusions 56 and 58 of the upper mold 44 into recesses 48 and 50 of the lower mold 42 respectively and to insert a wall-like part 66 of the lower mold 42 into a groove 68 of the upper mold 44. Thus, the base material 30 and the decorative material 70 are press-molded between the first molding surface 42A of the lower mold 42 and the second molding surface 44A of the upper mold 44, and the base material 30 and the outer circumferential part 70A of the decorative material 70 are press-fitted in the groove 68 of the second molding surface 44A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
