<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training device with a cable replacement assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The training device includes a connection assembly 24 connecting a user coupling ring 22 to a load supporting cable 16. An inner collar 54 is provided with an axial gap 52 between an outer collar 38 and a barrel 26 engaged with a cable 16 while catching the cable.
