<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edgewise coil which can be manufactured easily by using one continuous wire rod, and in which the width of the wire rod and the number of turns of the coil are not limited. <P>SOLUTION: A planar wire rod 4 having a rectangular cross section and formed to have predetermined repetitive patterns 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b is shaped annularly by folding the patterns alternately thus obtaining an edgewise coil. The repetitive patterns are formed by forming the first patterns 5a, 5b and the second patterns 6a, 6b, which are formed by dividing the annular form into two, alternately in one direction. The edgewise coil is formed by stacking the planar wire rods, while folding alternately, along the folding lines 12a, 12b, 12c being set in parallel with each other in the width direction of the planar rod wire, at the boundary of the first pattern and the second pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
