<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy having high rigidity and uniform characteristics over an entire member, by uniformly dispersing TiB<SB POS="POST">2</SB>excellent in wettability with the aluminum alloy over the entire member of the aluminum alloy, and by preventing coarsening of an Al<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Ti compound or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Ultrasonic vibration is emitted to molten metal in a temperature range of liquidus temperature or above and not above 100°C from the liquidus of an aluminum alloy having a chemical composition of 5 to 10 mass% Si, 0.1 to 0.5 mass% Mg, 1 to 5 mass% Ti, 0.3 to 2 mass% B, and a balance of Al and inevitable impurities, and after the emission is completed, the molten metal is rapidly pressure-casted to obtain the aluminum alloy having a metal structure in which aggregates of TiB<SB POS="POST">2</SB>are 5 or less per 1 mm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, the maximum size of Al<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Ti is 50 μm or less, and the area rate of the cast cavity is 5% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
