The terminal (1) has an audio data memory (3) e.g. flash memory, including stored audio data and a notification. A control device (4) detects a country in which the terminal is operated and automatically assigns the country-specific audio data to the notification based on the detected country. The control device is designed such that a country code is requested via a communication interface. A device internal sensor e.g. fire sensor, conveys information about occurrence of a notification-required event to the control device. An input interface is coupled with the memory. The device internal sensor is a smoke sensor, humidity sensor and glass breakage sensor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for outputting notifications by a telecommunication terminal in a home communication system (2) a home communication system.
