PURPOSE: A copper-chrome alloy with improved strength and conductivity and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain excellent mechanical and electrical properties by applying high-strength and high-conductivity characteristics to a low-chrome alloy in a hypoeutectic process as well as a high-chrome alloy in a hypereutectic process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a copper-chrome alloy comprises the steps of: preparing melt for a copper alloy including 0.6-10 weight% of chrome(S10), solidifying the melt into a cylindrical ingot(S20), locating a cooling unit in the ingot, remelting and resolidifying the ingot while moving the cooling unit in one direction so that the constituent phases of the alloy have directivity, drawing or rolling the alloy to increase the directivity of the phases, and aging the alloy.
