Water separator and method for separating water from a saturated steam flow

The water separator (10) comprises a filter (12-1) with a filter opening (14-1), and another filter (12-2) with another filter opening (14-2) arranged in the flow direction. A water discharge device is provided for discharging water, which is impinged adjacent to the latter filter opening of the latter filter. The water discharge device comprises a water discharge channel (18) extending in the interior of the latter filter and a mouth (16) in the water discharge channel adjacent to an impact surface of the latter filter opening of the latter filter. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for a separating water from a wet steam flow; and (2) a steam turbine with a water separator, which is placed in a turbine housing.
